Dr. Walter G. Martin is a native of Kernersville, North Carolina and is the younger son of two loving, incredible parents. During his free time, Dr. Martin enjoys playing and watching sports (golf, basketball, and football), traveling, reading,staying active in the community, attending church, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. He and his beautiful wife, Brittney, moved to Charlotte in 2014. He and his wife are proud parents to their amazing sons, Walter Jr (7) and twins Maxwell and Elias (1).

Dr. Martin obtained his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Hampton University. Prior to entering dental school, he participated in summer programs at the dental schools of UCLA and UConn, which served to further his knowledge and interest in the dental profession. Dr. Martin earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, MD.

While at Maryland, he participated in the Geriatric/Special Patient Clinic senior clerkship; served as a student member of the school’s Admissions Committee; and was afforded the opportunity to travel to Salvador, Brazil for his senior externship. After graduation, Dr. Martin accepted a two-year general practice residency position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
