Hi! I’m Dr. Gastelum, and I am excited to welcome you to Sonoran Desert Dentistry! I consider myself a true Arizonan at heart—I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Arizona before pursuing dental training at the University of Louisville’s School of Dentistry in Kentucky. During my time at Louisville, I was actively involved in leadership roles with various dental organizations and even proudly served as the President of the local Hispanic Student Dental Association chapter.

After graduating and then practicing in Louisville, I returned with my puppy Louie to my hometown in Tucson where I served the community I was born & raised in for over two years. These days I am so excited to be based here in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona and to have the opportunity to serve this wonderful community. When I’m not at the office you may find me taking advantage of the sunny outdoors with my pup, traveling the world (for business and for fun), or enjoying the many restaurant options in the area (I’m a huge foodie).
