Dr. Canto received her undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in 1985 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1989 from The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Upon graduation, Dr. Canto was chosen for a full year private fellowship in cosmetic dentistry and served as Assistant Editor of Reality Publishing  Company for dentistry.  She has completed thousands of hours of continuing education in all areas of dentistry and is a graduate of multiple prestigious dental programs, including Spear Education, the Las Vegas Institute and The Pacific Aesthetic Continuum.

Dr. Canto is committed to staying on the cutting edge in technology and education for dentistry and is known as a pioneer in her industry. In addition to utilizing cutting-edge technology, such as dental lasers and cosmetic dentistry techniques, she is leading the way in education and early detection protocols for oral cancers. She was one of the first doctors in the country to own the cancer screening device, the Oral ID.
