Dr. Cortez came to the United States when she was 18 years old with a goal to pursue her education. With two athletic scholarships from MDCC, she did just that. Dr. Cortez obtained her undergraduate in Biology and her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her time in dental school, she volunteered in various dental organizations designed to help the community around Chapel Hill. Once she finished dental school, she moved to the Wilmington area where she met her husband, George. Dr. Cortez and family are excited to call Wilmington their home. As a Biological/holistic dentist, Dr. Cortez, believes dentistry should focus on the overall well-being. She is looking forward to getting to know you and helping you accomplish your dental health and wellness goals.
